Premonition Director: Norio Tsuruta Year: 2004 Run Time: 95 mins Classification: 12 A father reads the fate of his own daughthers death just moments before it happens in a mysterious newspaper which appears before him. His wife cannot accept this when he tells her, but she wants to believe it so begins to research this mysterious phenomenon. They discover more than they bargain for when they try to change the outcome of the newspaper article and learn of fate, destiny and sacrifice. STORY: The story is really good. From the very start you are facing intensely emotional scenarios and are horrified at the thought of what is to come. Though in parts, it was a little predictable, the dramatic plot keeps you glued to your seat. CINEMATOGRAPHY: Camera work is average, but there are some good special effects and clever editing. SOUND: Music and sound effects match the theme of the movie quite well, I didn't notice them hardly which normally means they have done a good job. You only tend to notice sound effects when they sound particularly bad. OVERALL: Really great emotional dramatic thirller. Plenty of intense moments and enjoyable to watch. Rating: 3 / 5 SCREENSHOTS:
