Messengers Director: Yasuo Baba Year: 1999 Run Time: 118 mins Classification: U? Family comedy about a spoiled girl from the world of fashion and glamour comes down to earth with a crash when the company she works for folds and she is out of work. She is told she must lose her company car, many of her clothes and material possessions and of course her job and status in the industry. STORY: She ends up hitting a guy on a bicycle with her car, and gets scammed into covering for him whilst he is out of work. He is a messenger who owns his own messenger company that only use bicycles around Tokyo. This girl hasn't a clue but agrees to help anyway and ends up learning some valuable lessons along the way. The story is really good. It is a bit cheesy but it's not done in an "insult your intelligence" kind of way. The movie is very light-hearted and comical so I think the cheese can be excused just this once. CINEMATOGRAPHY: Cinematography is wonderful, as are some of the views around Tokyo. The movie has a good fast pace to it and is loaded with drama, action and excitement. SOUND: Can you spell C H E E S E ? - The soundtrack reminds me of some awful American 80's pop music movie, all very old sounding synthesized stuff, but it sort of adds to the fun a little bit. OVERALL: A real heart warming tale which will guarantee to put a smile on your face - even if you do detest the cheesiness of the whole damn thing. Rating: 4 / 5 SCREENSHOTS:

Breaking Benjamin is my favourite band of 90s. Breaking Benjamin had so many hits! The ones I remember are 'The Diary of Jane', 'Tourniquet' and, of course their hit 'So Cold'. These are real masterpieces, not garbage like today! And it is sooo good that Breaking Benjamin have a tour in 2019-2020! And I'm going to visit their concert in 2020. The tour dates is here: Breaking Benjamin tour 2019. Open the page and maybe we can even visit one of the concerts together!
